Lake Cities Fire Department

The Lake Cities Fire Department (LCFD) is a paid and volunteer organization consisting of 36 full-time firefighters and paramedics, administration personnel and five volunteers, currently operating out of two stations. Fire Station One is located in Lake Dallas; Fire Station Two is located in Corinth.

A third and fourth station are being planned to accomodate this area's growth. Land for both stations has already been purchased. The new stations will be located on the corner of Oakmont and Lake Sharon Road in Corinth and on Town Hall Boulevard in Hickory Creek.

All ambulance and fire apparatus are staffed with a minimum of one paramedic and are equipped with Advanced Life Support equipment so the first arriving unit can initiate immediate patient care. Corinth is also served by Care Flight.

The LCFD well exceeds the minimum standards of training required each year, training Monday through Saturday, 52 weeks per year. This aggressive training schedule is necessary to meet the Insurance Service Office requirements of 240 hours per year per firefighter.

The LCFD provides life safety education and information for our citizens to help protect and enhance their quality of life. Children in the Lake Cities area are taught to practice fire and life safety behaviors through programs integrated into the school systems and child care facilities.

The LCFD enhances its stature and visibility within the community through its direct participation in community events, safety and health fairs and Fire Prevention Week.

In our community, they are our heroes.
