Corinth residents have consistently voiced that the community desires more local dining and shopping options and a distinct downtown area to gather.  To make Corinth more attractive to these types of businesses, the City plans to invest in designing and developing a signature community gathering space. The space, known as The Commons at Agora, will provide ample opportunities for people to recreate, relax, and gather. However, the specific elements of the space will be defined by Corinth residents.

The City plans to gather input from residents throughout February and work closely with TBG Partners to create a bold master plan of the new community gathering space, which is planned to be released in early March. This comes on the heels of the City Council approving a contract with TBG Partners to facilitate the master planning process for a signature open space in the heart of Corinth.

"This is an opportunity for our residents to create something really special, something that fits the specific needs of our community," said City Manager Bob Hart. "Additionally, it will act as a catalyst to bring in more of the amenities and businesses our community wants."

About The Commons at Agora

The Commons at Agora is envisioned to be an iconic gathering space that will inform future mixed-use development on the surrounding properties to create a true downtown district, Agora while serving as a central hub for community activities, events, and festivals. This dynamic space will be defined by exciting shopping, dining, and living opportunities with a local flair. Drawing from its ancient Greek origins, Agora means “marketplace”, and this gathering space will reimagine the meaning of marketplace by infusing an elevated, modern, Texas-twist that is distinctly Corinth.
