CORINTH WELCOMES HUFFINES KIA & SUBARU

Corinth, TX, June 3, 2019 - Citing their strong ties to the community and desire to expand their operations, services and space for inventory, Huffines Kia & Subaru celebrated the completion of their new state-of-the-art facility in grand fashion on May 3, 2019. The new facility offers guests all of the modern conveniences and comforts while shopping or having their vehicle serviced. Collectively, the new facility sits on approximately 14 acres and contains over 50,000 square feet of enclosed space.

In support of their expansion and commitment to creating employment opportunities and growing the community’s tax base, the City Council approved a Chapter 380 Economic Development Incentive Agreement on February 15, 2018. Under the economic development incentive agreement, the City and the Corinth Economic Development Corporation will rebate a portion of the sales and use taxes on the business’s purchase of materials, equipment and other personal property in connection with the construction, equipment and maintenance of the facility over an approximately 10-year period. In exchange, Huffines Kia & Subaru will employ a minimum of 70 persons in its full-time employment positions and maintain such level of employment for the term of the economic development incentive agreement.

With a new facility and vastly enhanced visibility and access from Interstate 35E, Huffines Kia & Subaru will be a most important partner with the City, the Corinth Economic Development Corporation and others in growing the local economy and shaping the physical development of Corinth well into the future.
