Neighbors Helping Neighbors Corinth

NHNC LOGO

Neighbors Helping Neighbors connects volunteers, volunteer groups, and community organizations with eligible Corinth residents whose homes require minor maintenance and common repairs. The program is designed to strengthen our community by matching those willing to serve with neighbors who need a helping hand.

For Applicants
Residents who would like to request assistance may submit a project application through the program platform. Once submitted, requests are placed in a review queue and evaluated by the program coordinator to ensure all required information is complete and that the project is appropriate for volunteer support.

After approval, projects are released by the coordinator and posted to the volunteer platform, where registered volunteers can view and adopt projects that match their skills and availability.

How It Works
To participate, all volunteers must register through the designated volunteer platform. As part of the registration process, volunteers are required to complete a background screening, which is built into the system. The cost of the screening is the responsibility of the volunteer. Registration also includes signing a waiver and release of liability to protect all parties involved.

Once registration and approval are complete, volunteers gain access to the project database. From there, they can browse available projects and select opportunities that fit their skills, experience, and resources.

After identifying a suitable project, the volunteer adopts (or reserves) the project within the platform and contacts the neighbor directly to coordinate details. Once the work is completed, the volunteer returns to the platform to mark the project as finished.

Volunteer registration is valid for one year and must be renewed annually to continue participating in the program.
