May 2, 2026 Election
General Election
The City of Corinth General Election will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Place 2 has resigned to run for Mayor which creates a vacancy for an unexpired term for Place 2 and requires a Special Election which will be held in conjunction with the General Election. Place 2 will remain in place until the final results of the General and Special Election.
There are two places on the City Council for the May 2, 2026, General Election and one for the Special Election:
Mayor
Council Member – Place 5
Council Member – Place 2 (Special Election)
General Election Application Information
Residents who wish to apply for the 2026 General Election are advised to carefully review the candidate letter. The letter contains important information and accompanying documents that applicants should read and familiarize themselves with prior to submitting an application. Please ensure that all materials are reviewed in their entirety, as they outline the requirements, responsibilities, and procedures related to the application process. Candidate qualifications are as follows:
- Shall be a qualified voter
- Shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Shall have resided in the City for 12 months immediately preceding the election
- Shall not be employed by the City
- Shall meet all other eligibility requirements of the Texas Election Code

Voting Information
During Early Voting, residents may vote at any location within Denton County.
On Election Day, residents must vote at their assigned precinct. Precincts 2071, 2072, 2073, and 3160.
